PEOPLE & PURPOSE
The Integral Neuroscience Initiative is a public charity based in Northern Michigan, advancing whole-person care through research, public education, and advocacy.
Meet the peopleWHY THE INITIATIVE EXISTS
INI brings public support to work that patients and families should be able to access freely: research findings, understandable health information, and advocacy for better care.
Our roots include hospice and palliative care, mental health, neurodiversity, cardiovascular medicine, and professional advocacy. We have seen how easily physical symptoms, emotional needs, and family circumstances can be treated as separate problems.
LEADERSHIP & BOARD
Clinical experience, community leadership, and a shared commitment to seeing the whole person.

THE INSTITUTE VISION
Our vision brings a hospice house, research, and learning together beside an inland lake in Northern Michigan, with space for families and animals to be part of daily life.
THE INSTITUTE VISION
We are exploring a future institute on an inland lake in the northern Lower Peninsula of Michigan, bringing space for research and learning together with a hospice house.
The vision makes room for nature, animals, relationships, and the questions of meaning that accompany serious illness and the end of life.
The institute is in development. The architectural imagery and film on this site express our vision for a future campus.
We plan to partner with an established Michigan hospice program for clinical care as the location, partnerships, and funding take shape.
